A Child of God
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we might be called children of God! 1 John 3:1 (NIV) As we travel along the road of parenthood, it will help us tremendously to remember that we are also children. We are children of a God who wants us to obey Him, to be kind and loving to others. He wants his children to be honest, trustworthy, and respectful. Does that sound like what you want for your children? I'll be surprised if your answer is no. God knows all about you. He know your strengths and weaknesses. He knows your likes and dislikes. He understands what thrills your heart and what causes you paralyzing pain or ear-steaming anger. God loves you. He knows you're not perfect. And He still loves you! It still amazes me that He can look at the mess we've made and care so much for us! When we come to him with a heart that is saddened by our disobedience or broken from our failures, he welcomes us with strong and loving arms. He's waiting for us right now. This site was started to share encouragement, dreams, and the moments of our journey together. I hope to provide a way so we can have a conversation about the issues and concerns on your heart. Hopefully we can share ideas that will make the road easier to travel on. It's not a place where I plan to dispense advice, except for this one piece. If you don't already have a relationship with God, I urge you to seek him out. Pray to Him and ask Him to reveal Himself and his son, Jesus, to you. Get a Bible and read His word. God is a loving father and he wants to be part of your life and your child's. And He wants to help you on your parenting journey.
